Welcome back dancers. We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season. Please take a moment to read this newsletter thoroughly.

COSTUME BALANCES

At this time, costumes have been ordered and full payment is required in February regardless of circumstances. Costume balances will be chargedor drafted fromaccounts February 10, 2012 along with February tuition. Alterations to costumes are not the responsibility of the studio.

Costume Week/Parent Observation will be
Monday, March 26 – Saturday, March 31.

COSTUME PHOTOGRAPHY

Picture Week will be Monday, April 16 – Thursday, April 19, 2012. Photography provided by Blair Phillips Photography. Your costume picture time will correlate with your child’s dance class time. Miss Tonya’s Monday morning class will take photos Monday, April 16 4:30-4:45PM. Miss Tonya’s Tuesday morning class will take photos Tuesday, April 17 4:45 – 5:00PM. Miss Elizabeth’s Friday morning class will take photos Wednesday, April 18 4:30-4:45PM. Costume photo participation is not mandatory but appreciated for class photos. We will have photo package options and examples located in the lobby one week before picture week. You can check out Blair Phillips website at www.blairphillipsphotography.com

All dancers need to come fully dressed including costume, make-up, and hair. We will not wait for dancers to dress at the studio. We are trying to eliminate all unnecessary dressing preparations. All preparations to costumes should be done at home. Package and pricing info will be available in the lobby soon.

RECITAL ADS

Please remember that forms for recital ads are available in the studio lobby. There is also a sample of last year’s recital program in the lobby for viewing. Deadline for ads is Friday, March 30. The dancer who sells the most ads will receive a trophy during their award ceremony. This individual will also receive a free full-page recital ad in this year’s program, free registration fee and free first month's tuition for the 2012-2013 dance season. However, if winner chooses not to register for next year's dance season, registration fee and first month's tuition are null and void.

DRESS REHEARSAL & RECITAL DETAIL

Dress Rehearsal for 3-6 year old classes: Friday, May 11, 2012
Rehearsal will start at 5:00PM Sharp! Please allow for travel time.

Dress Rehearsal for 7 & up classes: Thursday, May 10, 2012
Rehearsal will start at 5:00PM Sharp! Please allow for travel time.

Recital: Saturday, May 12, 2012

  • 3 - 6 year old show will begin at 10:00AM. Dancers should plan to arrive no later than 9:30AM.
  • Specialty Show highlighting solos, duets, and trios will begin at 12:30PM. Dancers should arrive no later than 12:00PM.
  • 7 & up show will begin at 2:00PM. Dancers should plan to arrive no later than 1:30PM.

SPRING BREAK DATES

The studio will be closed Monday, April 2 – Saturday, April 7, 2012. Classes will resume on Monday, April 9, 2012. Please remember the studio does not follow all of Charlotte-Mecklenburg School closings. If questionable, call the studio.

PERSONALIZED RECITAL T-SHIRTS

If you are interested in R in E annual recital T-shirts, order forms will be available in the lobby soon. Short-sleeve shirts are $15.00 plus tax and long-sleeve shirts are $18.00 plus tax. The shirts will have a full-front logo of the recital theme and the back will include the names of every dancer at R in E. All forms will be due by Friday, March 30, 2012. This would be a wonderful recital gift.

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is always important; however, it is of greater importance these next few months. Being on time is always a tremendous asset as well. Please note that R in E is not closed for teacher workdays or all holidays that the Mecklenburg County Schools respects. If there is ever any question, call the studio.

PARTICIPATION TROPHIES

As last year, we will be providing you the opportunity to purchase participation trophies. All trophies will have to be pre-ordered for engraving purposes. Trophies will have a 9-inch dancer and a nameplate. Trophies are $ 15.00 plus tax. All order forms must be in by Friday, March 30 . Order forms will be available in the lobby soon. This is an optional purchase!!

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Please check your dancer's dance bag before leaving the studio to assure each dancer has all of his/her belongings.
